Membership Benefits

As a member of the Society of Police Futurists International you can:

PFI Membership Categories and Dues

PFI Membership is open to any individual or institution that shares the goals and mission of the society.

Promotional Membership

This membership category allows interested parties to sample PFI membership or to join for a temporary period of six months. This membership category can only be used once and must be renewed as a professional or general member.

$25 US.

Professional Member

Sworn law enforcement officers, educators, trainers, researchers or other professionals that have an active interest in research and development.

$50.00 US annually or $500.00 US for a LIFE Membership

General Member

Individuals interested in the application of Futures Research to law enforcement. General members in good standing at the end of five years consecutive membership may apply in writing to the Executive Board to have their membership converted to professional status.

$50.00 US annually or $500.00 US for a LIFE Membership

Institutional Member

An organization (public or private sector), university, college, or training facility that has an active law enforcement or corrections research and/or high technology organizational component.
Such members are authorized 3 designated representatives. This is a non-voting membership.

$500.00 US annually

Student Membership

One of the goals of PFI is to promote education in law enforcement and corrections. The student membership category is for any individual that is currently enrolled at an accredited university, college or other institution of higher learning (bachelors, masters or Ph.D. level) that has regional accreditation recognized by the Council for Higher Education. Upon proof of graduation student members in good standing will receive a free one year professional membership. Any questions regarding eligibility for this category should be directed to the PFI Secretariat.

$25.00 US annually

Charter Member

Charter Members are the founding members of PFI.

$50.00 US annually or $500.00 US for a LIFE Membership        

 

About the Application Process

Applying for membership in PFI is easy. Just click on the link below to get started. If you have ever applied for membership before or are unsure, or your membership has expired, please contact our secretariat at [email protected]. Current members who wish to renew their dues should log in to the membership database.

Once you have completed the membership application process and paid your dues either by credit card or check your membership is active. You should then log in to the memberships management system and subscribe to any discussion groups that interest you.
